Dream It Possible! | 开学营圆满落幕!新侨学子,欢迎返校~

During this beautiful season, we began our first day at school in autumn!

Beautiful campus, warm classroom, kind teachers and friendly classmates....

Let’s take a look at the warm moments of SCA’s first week in this video!

 SCAers,Welcome back!

On sunny days, the campus once silent during the summer vacation, becomes lively again. A new group of resident students joined SCA International Living Community. After bidding farewell to the summer vacation, with hope and excitement, these little boys and girls, completed the registration, got their school uniforms, checked into the dormitory and completed other procedures.

For other students, going back to school is more like returning to another warm "home". After the summer vacation, cheerfully and vigorously, they get ready for the new semester.

We need to learn to live independently while we are growing up. In SCA, students will learn to deal with difficulties in their lives, acquire necessary life skills and know how to get along with others in happy collective life and interesting courses.

The Orientation Camps

In order to help every student better adapt to the SCA life, the orientation camps are coming this week.

What does it feel to learn in SCA? Alumni shared with us his/her own stories. At the School Orientation Camp, Oscar Lin, president of the Student Council, first extended a warm welcome to the new students, and then shared his own stories to encourage everyone to be a brave dreamer. Just go bravely on and do your best. Jason Zeng, the student representative, shared his journey of studying in SCA, encouraging students to make good use of the rich resources of SCA and develop their own personality.

By watching documentaries of Hwa Chong and Mr. Tan Kah Kee, the students deeply understood the spirit of "自强不息" and values of "己立立人,己达达人,饮水思源,经世致用", strengthening their sense of belonging to SCA. In the opening discussion, when the teachers raised related questions, all the students raised their hands to answer them actively.

Meanwhile, during the Message from Alumni, Mr. Ang Boon Peng, director of the Board of Governors, and Mr. Huang Zihao, founder of Wuyou Environmental Technology Company, shared their stories of studying in SCA. Although their stories are different, they have common expectations for the SCAers, hoping that the SCAers can face challenges bravely and give full play to their strengths and abilities.

In addition, students met new friends and new teachers. Students from different Houses played ice-breaking games and “Campus Adventures” under the guidance of teachers, including “Collaborative Spelling” and “Blind Guide”. In these days, the whole SCA campus is full of joy. It is believed that New SCAers have strengthened their friendship through group games!

On behalf of their Houses, the students depicted SCA with posters, paintings, poetry, songs and melodrama. Those outstanding students confidently displayed their works in MPH, which surprised the teachers a lot.

The students smilingly shook hands with each other and introduced themselves briefly, which is the first step for deepening their friendship. In the class activities, they excitedly shared interesting stories during their summer vacation and their "special achievements". Under the guidance of the class teacher, they decorated the classroom together, with some students sharing their ideas, some painting, and some doing manual work. Everyone made their own contributions.

The SCA House System greatly emphasizes the cohesion and unity of SCAers. Each student and teacher will be randomly assigned to the houses.(Virtuous、Visionary、Valiant)

At the houses, students learned how to compete and cooperate with each other. In the wonderful Houses Battle, despite many difficulties, the students ran and jumped with confidence and agility, winning cheers from the audience on the sidelines.

The Bonfire Night has been one of the most ceremonious activities in SCA School Orientation Camp. From planning to organizing, the whole process was completed by the students independently. This was challenging but exciting for them, and they rehearsed carefully in order to make the best performance on Bonfire Night.

Students sat around, enjoyed songs, dances, sketches and other programs, and recalled the stories of the past week. In the past week, some students learned new skills, some overcame their fears in a new environment, some met new friends, and some understood how to be responsible. Every student, in his or her own way, gained a lot in the School Orientation Camp.

Brave teenagers forge ahead, making the world a better place.

Dear SCAers, in the new school year, just pursue your dreams, bravely and passionately!
